16' Arey's Pond Lynx-Hokey Hi
The 16 foot Lynx is typically built as a fiberglass production boat. However, customer
Bill Hoeck wanted a wooden boat with an easier maintenance schedule that could be achieved
with a cold-molded hull. Arey's Pond Boat Yard owner Tony Davis gave us another wonderful opportunity by
contracting with us to build Hokey Hi. We set up the backbone as soon as we moved into our
brand new boat shop in January 2006. Stripped in cedar and sheathed in 1/8" Spanish cedar
veneer, we flipped her by late March and had her decked with cabin and interior by May, on
top of all our other spring work. We launched Hokey Hi in early August, in time for the
annual Cat Boat Gathering. Bill Hoeck sails her out of Cotuit on the Cape
